Terms of use
Short and plain, because Popfables has no accounts and no subscriptions.
These terms cover the Popfables app for iPad and this website, popfables.app, both operated by tangent3 Limited (Hong Kong) (“we”, “us”). By using them, you agree to these terms.
1. Your licence to the app
Popfables is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms add a few points; where they differ, the standard EULA applies to the app.
Popfables is for your family's personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, share or sell its stories, pictures, music or the storyteller's voice, or try to extract them from the app, except where the law allows.
2. The free book and the book Sets
- The Moon's Little Lantern is free. The other books come in book Sets, each a one-time in-app purchase. There are no subscriptions.
- Purchases are made through Apple and follow Apple's own terms. Prices are shown in the App Store in your currency.
- A Set you buy stays unlocked through every update, works offline, can be restored on a new iPad with the same Apple Account, and is covered by Family Sharing.
- Refunds are handled by Apple: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
3. For grown-ups
Popfables is made for young children, enjoyed with a grown-up nearby. Settings, saved stories and purchases are for grown-ups and sit behind the grown-ups gate. Popfables needs iPad (9th generation) or newer; it may not work well on older iPads. The storyteller's voice is made on the iPad and may sometimes say an unusual name in its own way.
4. Updates
New books arrive in app updates. Updates may also improve or correct the books and the app.
5. This website
The website, including its guides, is general information for parents, not professional advice. Its text, pictures and video belong to us; please link to them rather than copying them.
6. Our responsibility
We work hard to make Popfables gentle, reliable and correct, but we provide the app and the website “as is”, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Popfables in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without taking away any protection that the mandatory laws of your own country give you.
8. Changes
If we change these terms, we will update this page and its date. Changes never take away a Set you have already bought.
